Shasta Horse Sanctuary

Shasta Horse Sanctuary is located on Malcolm Island in Canada. The Sanctuary has been in operation since the year 2000. Elaine has been rescuing horses and providing palliative care and a permanent retirement home for them.
Elaine(Tenzin Chime) is an ordained Buddhist nun and lives a monastic life with the horses.

Elaine is a professional artist with specialization in Parian Ware Porcelain sculpting. She uses her creative sculpting to do commission art to raise funds for the Sanctuary.
